Staff Nurse - Care of the Elderly - Dublin

This Care Facility seeks a Staff Nurse with experience in Care of the Elderly settings.

For this permanent full time Staff Nurse job, you must:

• Be a qualified Nurse to Diploma level min
• Have current and up to date An Nord Altranais registration
• Have 3-4 years post registration experience, some of which in an elderly setting
• Have training/ experience in Dementia Care, High Dependancy Units or Spinal Injury Recovery

Key Responsibilities:

• To be accountable for proper standards of nursing care
• responsible for the safe custody of drugs ensuring that all drugs and medication are administered strictly in accordance with the general practitioner’s instructions
• To carry out all nursing procedures according to the person’s needs, as per his/her agreed care plan
• To be familiar with all statutory instruments of legislation concerning nursing homes and to be familiar with all nursing policies and procedures

It would also be highly advantageous to have a working knowledge of HIQA standards and procedures.
